Some of the first Sweet Gum leaves have fallen, an indication of more to come, much more. The Yellow Poplar (Yellow Wood, Tulip tree) has been dropping its leaves since the beginning of July. There is no surprise there.

So much has happened this summer. There was camping with Grace Bible Church families, Lois’ surgery and continued recovery, celebrating birthdays, Ricky and Karlyn being accepted and preparing to move to Baltimore, MD to minister to people out of Arlington Baptist Church, Lois and my 34th Wedding Anniversary which we celebrated with all our family with great friends Tim and Beverley Roberson and their daughter Kelly, and so much more. Jesse now owns his first automobile. Andrea and Cherith have left to work this summer/fall with Harvest Rally out of Indiana and are enjoying prep work to begin.

Also, Lois’ brother Bruce and his wife Deirdra and their son Zack moved to minister in Montana. We went to spend a Saturday with them the weekend before they moved.

It is fun to look behind, but there is so much ahead. Welcome Autumn!!!

Happy Anniversary Dad and Mom Blaha!!!! While Dan & Claudia and Lois and I have celebrated 33 and 32 years of marriage together respectively just the last days of July, we thank you for your example for us and to us. While struggles may be the definition we call many moments in our day to day married lives the overall of fifty-nine years reflects so much for rejoicing.

So many days this year seem to be known more by the number than other typical references. Just Monday on August 10th Cherith and Jesse started school at Brashier Middle College Charter High School. Cherith as a senior is part of the FIRST senior class Brashier has ever had. Jesse had his FIRST job this summer splitting wood.

However, in all things we as humans measure by numbers. That is the reason the first three words of the Bible in the English language are, In the beginning… Man is finite and defines by time, distance, and measures. The fourth word is God. He is not bound by time, distance, and measures. For man to even barely begin to draw a concept of God in this is the fact that what has happened over time defines the sum of the individual days. God who always was, is, and shall be cannot be fully known. The thought that before the mountains were brought forth or ever the earth was, from everlasting to everlasting He is God is incomprehensible. And His character is just the same? Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God, not height nor depth nor breadth nor length, nor anything else. Who can fathom such love?

Though I digressed I say that the marriage of Dad and Mom for fifty-nine years is measurable, but still cannot be grasped in our hearts nor fully held in our finite lives. Never the less we are grateful and thrilled at the example you are.
