The New Year, 2011, is well under way by almost half a month and I am already behind. But am I? Did I have a New Year Resolution to ‘blog everyday’ or ‘at least more often than I have been’? No. Am I obligated by having a blog to blog everday, or at least every week? No. Am I driven to post blogs often? Well, take a look at time between previous posts and the answer is obvious.

This is a year to redeem the time. Blogging is not my forte, but without making a New Year’s Resolution I can be ‘already behind’. There are things in life that I cannot afford to be behind on and yet I am. I am not speaking about bills. God has blessed in that so far I am keeping up with them. A quote I heard recently, but do not remember the origin, is that, “The most important things in life are not things.” I ask, What will last eternally? And when I ask that I can recognize the ‘things’ I am behind on. Oh how I must redeem the time. The time I speak of is time with God, time in God’s Word, time speaking to God in prayer.

May my time be redeemed in that which will last this year. May I not be behind.

IMMANUEL ‘God with us’ Prophesied. Prophecy fulfilled. The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. Eyes of compassion. A look of love when denied. A look of anger on those who would make the things of God other than what God intended. Announced to shepherds. ‘Peace on earth to men of good will.’

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Looking forward to a time of celebration together for Dad and Mom’s 60th Wedding Anniversary. As you can see plans were being made sometime ago. Truly a once in a lifetime celebration. Dad and Mom, THANK YOU

Today is the sixtieth anniversary of my Father and Mother getting married. This means more to me than I thought it did. Thank you Dad & Mom. Thank you God. WHAT A BLESSING!!!

Thirty-three years ago Lois Homontowski became for me the bride she still is. Praise God for these wonderful years!!! Thank you to Ted & Doris Homontowski and Karl & Mary Jane Blaha our parents. Also thank you Daniel Blaha, Raymond Paul, Jim Brahman, Darrell Vance, Kathy Moeri Homontowski, Andrea Shattuck Gill, Terri …Horton Short, Janet Oliver Short. God bless all of you.

I would also like to thank Leah Howell from Shepherd’s Home, Teddy Homontowski, Bruce Homontowski, and Len Blaha for being a part of our wedding. Also for Ruth Blaha Blair, Ken Hettinga and his daughter Brenda Hettinga for music. And to Richard Reece …the officiating Pastor at First Baptist Church in Pound, WI at the time. Also, the family Bible he gave us that helped us with that wonderful verse, Godliness with contentment is great pain. (That is how it was printed, honest.)
